Viking dominance continues: Tuggeranong secures third consecutive victory

The Tuggeranong Vikings have continued their winning ways with a strong win against Queanbeyan Whites, in a 45-26 display at Viking Park on Saturday, 20th April in Round 3 of the John Dent Cup – Canberra’s Premier Rugby Union Competition.

The Vikings held their first home game of the year and by the time 3pm hit, the home fans knew they would be in for a treat.

A try to Grayson Te Moana and a first-half double from Sila Titiuti put the home side out to a 21-0 lead within the opening 25 minutes.

Davea Teoteo hit back with a try for the Whites but Joel Leiper ensured the home side had the upper hand heading into halftime with a 28-5 lead.

The second half saw the Whites hit back, as ill-discipline from the Vikings allowed Riley Turner and Tani Pakalani to score in the 54th and 61st minutes respectively.

“We definitely need to review our setpiece’s. We’re definitely conceding too many penalties in relation the that”
